Muskegon Irish American Society promotes Irish culture through education, activities, gatherings, the arts, music and song. The society meets four times a year, usually at a different location. Each gathering has a different theme incorporating a social hour, dinner, barbeque or delicious desserts and a very short business meeting, followed by entertainment. This usually includes an Irish speaker, an Irish film or musical entertainment by a local Irish band. The Board meets four times
a year to coincide with the membership meetings and the publishing of the
newsletter. The slate of Board members are selected from
volunteers and nominees with the election being held at the Spring meeting.
Each holds the position for two years. Officers are selected by the elected
